Aware with Care.

At Peer Plus, we believe that everyone deserves access to health education, wellness support, and compassionate care, no matter their income, background, or circumstances.

For over 20 years, our volunteer-powered nonprofit has partnered with individuals and families across Chicago and the Midwest, helping them take charge of their health and well-being. We provide free and culturally responsive support in areas like cancer awareness, chronic disease prevention, and emotional resilience.

We’re proud to walk alongside our community, offering support, services, and hope…one person at a time.

Peer Plus Education and Training Advocates is a Registered Non-For-Profit in the State of Illinois

Peer Plus Education and Training Advocates is a 501(c)3 that identifies underserved populations in the Midwest area and provides culturally sensitive programs that address the multifaceted issues of people in need of essential health, educational, and psychosocial services. Peer Plus also provides non-medical education, training and related workshops.

As a community-based organization, Peer Plus has an extensive network of health centers, free clinics, local hospitals and social service agencies that support us in our efforts and overall mission. This, in turn, facilitates our competence in meeting the needs and challenges of populations who are disproportionately impacted by social and environmental factors of health.

Our volunteers have substantial experience in a variety of areas. They include significant background and knowledge of chronic and preventable illnesses—such as asthma, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and HIV disease—as well as expertise in supervision, financial education, fundraising, marketing, and event planning in a variety of settings.

Peer Plus is excited to be celebrating 22 years of service in the community. Our commencement in December 2002 has steadfastly grown to 20+ years of providing health and wellness in underserved communities.
